So if you Google Francis Benali you are inundated with pictures and information about his time at Southampton FC, his famous moustache and how he is now traveling the world via an old Panini sticker, but who is Franny?
Francis Benali was born and raised in Southampton. He has been married to Karen for 22 years and they have two children - Luke and Kenzie, and the last family member is Franny's part time training partner - Ben their black labrador.
Franny is best known for his long standing career at Premier League Football Club, Southampton (and his moustache) where he made 389 appearances and scored 1 goal! (Every Saints fan remembers that day well).
After his successful career at Southampton FC he retired and became involved in a number of exciting projects around the South Coast, including being a partner in Kuti's Brasserie - an Indian restaurant in Southampton and a building development company with his Father-in-Law.
Franny is currently a motivational/after dinner speaker and successful football coach, passing on his knowledge to ever hopeful budding football players.
Franny has kept his fitness to a very high standard even though his is not playing now and can often be spoted running around the South Coast. In 2006, he completed the London marathon which to date is the longest distance he has undertaken in one day, and he is now aiming to run 50 miles a day for 2-3 weeks, whilst raising money for Cancer Research UK on Benali's Big Run!
