Jellyfish Livewire helps intu Lakeside provide an enhanced customer experience through a bespoke App featured in its new world-class customer lounge. 

logo-rgb.jpgintu has opened a world-class customer lounge, packed with premium, time-saving services and enhanced facilities, located in the heart of the intu Lakeside shopping centre.

Roger Binks, customer experience director of intu, said: “Across the UK, our intu signature experience programme is delivering benefits focused on meeting the needs of customers. The lounge will be a welcomed addition for the 25m visitors each year to intu Lakeside.”

The new facility brings together services already available at the centre in one place, plus new ones, echoing a top hotel or airline lounge. The aim is to treat customers as guests, in line with intu’s membership of the Institute of Customer Services, an independent, professional body.

Jellyfish Livewire has developed a customer information Application that provides useful content for shoppers and is displayed on the tablets located in the lounge.. This content is pulled from the intu.co.uk website, 3rd party websites and also features a bespoke searchable map and facilities directory. The App is all about making a visit to intu Lakeside more enjoyable one by providing a simple to use App that gives customers easy access to the information they need. Whether it’s checking their gift card balance, searching through the latest intu offers or simply locating their favourite store or onsite facilities, that App does it all.

The bespoke map and directory function developed by Jellyfish Livewire is searchable by brand or by category of store. When searching for their desired location, customers can easily identify the quickest route with the aid of the map that plots a blue line to provide clear directions.

In addition, the App also enables customers to browse and shop intu.co.uk allowing them to build their basket on the tablet and then transfer the contents to their own mobile device to complete the transaction securely.

It’s not about showcasing the technology, it’s all about making the experience easy and informative – by its very nature it should be unremarkable because it is intuitive and second nature for the customer”
