About this project

“Cosmaceutical” company Skinlight Cosmetics is one of Europe’s largest online stores specialising in pigmentation correction and skin-lightening products. Its range of products, some of which are its own brand, are formulated to help treat Hyperpigmentation, dark marks, uneven skin tones, scarring and skin lightening. We undertook SEO work that ensures exposure for the company’s many products - from topically administered creams to tablets. 

Following a number of years managing the site internally, Skinlight recognised the need for expert help with their online presence. There was a need to review the analytics relating to lead generation and the sales funnel to better understand the changes required to make the website work harder, drive sales and reduce the number of abandoned baskets. 

Outcome

With over 12 years experience in supplying high quality skin care treatments, Skinlight offer over 75 products aimed at a diverse range of customers who are seeking solutions to help them deal with skin conditions that can help with self confidence issues. For skin lightening products, customers may be simply after that ‘perfect’, ‘Beyoncé’ tone. 

We carried a full SEO audit to determine what work was required in order to increase leads and conversions from organic and paid traffic. A detailed review of the ecommerce solution as well as content strategy gave clear direction.

We first approached Livewire in February 2015 to give our overall marketing strategy a much needed boost. 

After an impressive meeting with Graham and Kelly-Anne we felt confident that they had all the right tools and knowledge to help us and we weren't disappointed.

We lacked the expertise to execute a structured online marketing plan and this is where Livewire really showed their skills and professionalism as well as in many other areas. 

Within just a few weeks after work commenced, we started to see some very positive results and after 6 months we now have a much improved presence in organic search listings and sales have gone up by 15%.

Livewire also analysed and tested our ecommerce store. We followed their advice and insight into how to improve things and we have since seen a significant increase in our average conversion rate which has gone up from to 2.5% to 3.5%
